More Obiter Dictumi

I saw a couple of interesting stories this week on the web. Mr Iran still has his visions of nuclear grandeur and Israel is preparing to bomb them because of it and another of dreams of Islamic empire. Do you take it all seriously or do you dismiss it? These dreams of Islamic empire seem more or less doubtful to me even though I'm sure they'll try and cause untold amounts of trouble and debris along the way.

It's all difficult really. I mean difficult for me to put aside my real interests so as to word out a comment about how muslims are going to burn. Hardly seems worth the effort since I know what the end is going to be. The muslims will ultimately form an alliance with the beast and the mohammadan religion will ultimately drift into obscurity like Apollo and Mercury and other religions of the past that were based on lies. I probably could say more about how ticklish it's transformation could be but I have no desire to unduly effect the course of events over there since it seems more proper just to let things come to pass as intended.

And did you hear Rush Limbaugh the other day. He said nobody leaves America for medical care. Actually the truth is that many do. It is becoming increasingly popular for people who need surgeries to go to places like India and parts of Asia to get it done for less money. What is wrong with American medical care is quite simple. It needs tort reform. Bloated lawsuits is what is causing prices to get so high. Another thing. When somebody obtains insurance the first thing that usually goes through their mind is how to get their money's worth or better yet they want to beat the insurance company. And doctors are usually willing to help because after all the diagnosis must be certain. Upon studying the mechanics of this it can be said that medical insurance is also causing the prices to go so high.

When you consider how tort reform and even the elimination of medical insurance is the sound steps that need to be taken to fix the medical crises then when you consider what Obama and his plan is actually going to do it becomes clear that American society clearly lacks the wherewithal to do what it takes to do the right thing. Instead what they are actually making is a strong statement against democracy.

So I think I'll finish up by making an observation about Rush. He clearly is akin to the dufus like you see in movies who stumbles from one mis-adventure to the next but occasionally says something profoundly true making it so difficult to tune him out completely.

America Obiter Dictum

Do you ever get the feeling that the world is starting to close in around you? Like your losing control and about ready to pull out the rest of your hair? Well here is some things to think about.

In the eternal wisdom of Washington (choke, gasp, weeze) they've decided to spend millions of your dollars getting you to sell your clunker car to them and buying a new one. Last I heard it was $4,500 each. Of course their are millions of Americans who never found a give away they didn't like but this is terrible. Just think of the masses of poor working folks who can't afford a new vehicle and how it will be all the harder to find a decent used vehicle. (It appears that all vehicles turned into this program are scraped). Besides it makes no sense if your unemployed or are feared to soon be, to buy a new car anyway. And yet I don't think it would bother Washington if you ended up without a car and had to hoof it everywhere.

Again. In the eternal wisdom of Washington (choke, gasp, weeze) they've decided that you cannot sell your home unless you make mandatory improvements. This is terrible. So now where are the on a budget home bodies going to go to find a home to fix up on the cheap? Again the poor take another hit.

These must be some of those laws in bills that you hear about Washington voting on all the time without ever taking time to read what they are voting on. Look Washington. If you want to kill us then why don't you just take a gun to us and get it done quick.

Of course Washington has answers for the hits the poor will be taking. More give away money. Just print and print. Thumb the nose at accountability. Just sell some more treasuries to Asia and Opec. You know like they say. Their is one born every minute. Milk the market for all its worth then default. "We will own them".

I wonder how long it's going to be before the machetes are prowling the streets of America. Like the L.A. riots all over again. I know it'll happen it's just a matter of time. It's starting to look like America may need to impeach Obama. Not that I ever supported him because he's an infidel like all the rest. I just noted that at the time it didn't appear that he was involved in the Clinton coup attempt. I noticed the pundits are claiming that he's keeping Hillary hid from the world stage or something or another. Despite what the pundits say it is likely because she is a liability to the American reputation in foreign relations.

America really needs to add this improvement to it's democratic system. The ability to have a vote of no confidence in the president. But then I can't help but think of that scene from Star Wars I The Phantom Menace when the senator comes up to her and says "Now we will elect a new Chancellor. A strong Chancellor, that won't be controlled by the bureaucrats".

Another World Obiter Dictumi

The big buzz in the world these days is if Iran fixed their presidential elections for Imonajihad to win. Well the Iranian president is the chief architect and manager of their current militarization program. He's getting the job done. I don't think they intend to put him out of work before the job is finished.

Then there is North Korea. Rattling the saber again. Proverb. If send nuke to America, what if nuke fall short?

China and Google. Strange. I mean China's efforts to block Google from their people. I thought China owned Google. Shows what I know. I wonder if they shot the person who coined the name Green Dam? Green Dam is the name for their internet filtering software. I wonder if they wrote it just for me?

World Obiter Dictumi

Say Mymood. Did you fix the vote over their in Iran? I think Iran likely has an equivalent to the Chicago mob when it comes to election rigging. Actually the Provocative Wrag whole heartedly endorses the Imonajihad presidential bid for the simple reason that he's a colorful character that'll keep the pot boilin' over there.

Then their's North Korea. Tisk. Tisk. Seems they've been nukin' the subterranean again and the world is aghast. But look at it this way. Their is common ground if you want such a thing. North Korea is printing dollars and Washington Fedarisky is printing dollars. They're actually trying to outdo one another. Now isn't that something. A two frontal attack on the dollar and who do you root for? While you're deciding you'd better think of gold because it is certain that paper money will not survive the future of which I have eloquently expanded on in previous posts. As the economy worsens it is certain that the counterfeiting industry will thrive.

Technology will continue to improve. A fundamental definition of technological progress is making what is hard now easy enough for everyone. You know when I get to thinking about technology then I look at China. That is where most of it is made these days. I think it is likely China may be the first government actually overthrown by robots. Why not? Because of their birth control policies they have an acute shortage of females and I'd think that surely all of those male virgins must be disgruntled. There is your motive. Whatever.

Well I've run out of time for such diatribe. I guess the discourse as to why I believe it will soon become illegal to buy or own a PC will have to wait for another day. This is the 3rd disquisition I've banged out on the computer today and my creativity is beginning to sag.

The Light Bulb Fiasco

I went to my local Wal-Mart today and one of the things I had to get was lightbulbs. It was not a pleasant surprise. The sticker shock of fluorescents that nobody wants. I thought that wasn't supposed to happen for a couple of years yet! I thought. I was fuming and thinking about this post so much that I even left behind a bag o' grub!

So let's talk about it a minute shall we. No this isn't going to be the usual gripe piece. Let's get into the real science about that fool light bulb law. This law has as a basis that the ordinary incedescent light bulb wastes energy. So let's discuss some elementary science briefly some of which some of you may already know.

First of all it is commonly accepted scientific fact that energy can neither be created nor destroyed true enough. Another lesser known fact is that all types of energy, no matter how, what, when or where always ultimately ends up as heat energy from combustion, friction and even noise. From this it can be stated that heat energy is one of the few things than can and is always produced with 100% efficiency! This is not to be confused with the concept of moving heat from one place to another which is a different matter entirely.

Now the incedescent light bulb more specifically. It is indeed a trait of the incedescent light bulb to produce more heat than light which is a result of having to heat a filiment to such a high temperature before light emission occurs. It is this heat that some numbers person has arbitarily labeled as "waste" and keeping in mind that heat production is directly proportional to the movement and quantity of electric current. Evidently this person hasn't considered the whole picture or is from Hawaii or some other perpetually warm place.

So now let's look at the rest of the picture. This gets really simple. Most light bulbs are found in buildings which of course must be heated in the winter time. It can indeed be stated with all gravity and truthfulness that an incedescent light bulb operating in a room that needs heating is without doubt operating at 100% EFFICIENCY!!!!

Consider the other most common form a heating in a building. These are usually heat pumps found in your yard. These not only produce heat but must also move it into a building. They have efficiency losses during their operation which can be described as heat carried away in the winter winds. When you remove the incedescent light bulb source of heat in such a building it is only going to increase the load on the heat pump. Nothing is gained.

This argument does get more difficult in the summer time but they invented daylight savings time didn't they. Problem solved. The only real way that energy can be saved with lighting is to reduce the use of daytime lighting in the summertime. If you realy want to save energy then dry areas of the country should switch to evaporative cooling in the summertime instead of using a heat pump air conditioner. The savings is substancial and more significant than a light bulb could ever be. It is in my case $5 verses about $100 a month not to forget that a new evaporative cooler usually costs about $500 verses more than $2000 for a heat pump. It's a no brainer.

Obama's Bow

Did you see the picture of President Obama bowing like a lackey to the king of Saudi Arabia? I always thought that heads of state considered themselves on equal ground and didn't do such things. But I guess if one is on the payroll of the other you'd better not forget it. At least the performing of such a gesture gives him the appearance of being on the OPEC payroll or worse yet it gives him the appearance of being a muslim. The difference is if the king of Saudi Arabia would have bowed to an American president his aide would have pulled a gun and shot him on the spot as a traitor. Well at least it would happen in Iraq or Iran anyway.

If a politician is taking foreign money and it is effecting the legal process towards the people then this is a betrayal to the public and such should be removed from office immediately. And Washington is full of such. Just think of all the nuclear and missile technology China and Pakistan and India got from the Clinton administration. And with Pakistan falling apart to the Taliban, this is something that should cause alarm to the world. Obama just brought in the old Clintonistas and restored the money networks with the finesse of a true African ruler. That's what happens when you have an election without any real choice.
